Ally Catterick has a background in publicity. She ran a boutique arts and entertainment publicity agency for 10 years, with a client list including arts and cultural festivals - (including Melbourne Fringe Festival for 5 years), comedians including Rove McManus, Eddie Izzard and Wil Anderson and a plethora of independent theatre, visual arts and dance events. Most recently she was Publicity Manager for the Melbourne International Arts Festival (2002, 2003) under the Artistic Directorship of Robyn Archer. Taking a step back from the arts in 2004, Ally now works in publicity strategy for conservation organisations including Fauna & Flora International and Greening Australia, as well as being co-owner/buyer of a fashion boutique. Still keeping her hand in the Arts, alongside Polyglot Puppet Theatre she sits on the board of contemporary dance company Lucy Guerin Inc and is also a director of the Brian McCarthy Moosehead Awards, an organisation that provides grants for innovative ideas in comedy.
